A Zero balance Account (ZBA) is a demand Deposit Account that is maintained at a target balance (usually zero but can be set to any other amount). The ZBA account is electronically linked to a to a concentration account. At the end of each business day, funds are moved to or from the ZBA and the concentration account to open the account on the next business day at the target balance. This functionality allows a company to reconcile and manage funds more efficiently.
